When you gain access to SEMINE, the administrator in your company will send login details, and you will receive a welcome email from SEMINE. The login details and the link to create a password are valid for 30 minutes.
The first time you log in to SEMINE, you will be prompted to create a new password. This password can consist of alphanumeric symbols and periods.
Tips for strong passwords:
- Should have a maximum length of 10 characters
- Should preferably consist of numbers, symbols, and uppercase/lowercase letters
- Should preferably not be a word in the dictionary or include words/numbers that can be associated with you
- Should not be reused on multiple websites. The password should be unique for each website.
Password Reset/Forgot Password
For security reasons, passwords in SEMINE expire after a period of time. SEMINE will then force the user to change the password. To change the password, one must meet the requirements on the password page before creating a new password.
If you have forgotten the password for SEMINE, use the "forgot password" option. SEMINE will then reset the password and send a link via email to change the password. The link is valid for 30 minutes.

If you click "Click to change password" and are automatically directed to the wrong browser (e.g., Safari), you can easily right-click and paste the link into another browser. Note that Semine is only supported in Microsoft Edge or Chrome (preferably updated to the latest version).
Known error messages during login
1. "ValidationError_Required": you have not entered a value in the field. Enter your username.
2. "Invalid username or password": Username or password is incorrect. Check that the email is the one associated with your user. Try entering the password again.
3. "Password validation failed": Password requirements are not met. Try creating a new, stronger password. Avoid forbidden words/number combinations: "semine","bilagos","1234","876","test","admin","administrator","passord","password","temp"
4. "Token for password reset has expired. Please request a new one": The link for password change has expired, and you need to send yourself a new one. Press "Try again," enter your email address, and select "Send email."
If you haven't received a login link for your first login, please contact the Administrator or Superuser internally at your company.
