Out of office can be set by an Administrator on a user who, for various reasons, needs a deputy for invoice approval.
This is how you, as an administrator, set up Out of office for a user. Users can also do this themselves, see the article about Absence Assistant.
Admin panel - Edit user - Out of office:
Press "Activate out of office" - Set period - Select Client and Approver:
If you want several different deputies for different companies you have access to, repeat the point "Add".
Start date: Date cannot be set back in time, only from today's date. If the user already has left for holiday and has invoices for approval, these must be overridden by a Controller. Or the workflow can be restarted after Out of office has been set up, and the invoice will then go to the deputy.
Invoices that are already assigned user: To find invoices that are assigned to a user, go to the Invoice list, select "All invoices except archived" and select user under "Assigned". Then choose either approval override, or "Reanalyze" to restart the workflow so that it gets assigned to deputy.
Clients: You can select several clients. When a client is selected, a list of approvers who have access to selected clients, and who can then be the user's deputy, will appear. If you want a specific user to be able to approve, but they do not appear in the list, you must go edit the user and add the missing client(s).

Actions: User who is a deputy inherits the original user's available actions from workflow. In this case, Aleksander is allowed to approve and pause.
Will the user be away longer than planned?
Enter user again. Admin panel - Users - Edit user - Out of office:
The period is locked, and to set a new date you must first remove previous settings. Select "Clear all" and then fill in again with new dates:
If the user returns earlier than planned, he/she can either remove the Out of office themselves under "My Profile", or you as an administrator can remove it for the user.
