How to easily set up a workflow with two approvers with different approval limits. This allows invoices to be assigned to different individuals based on the amount and any other conditions.
In the example below, we want XYZ to approve invoices with reporting amounts up to and including 10,000 NOK, and ABC to approve invoices with reporting amounts over 10,000 NOK.
In this guide, we will recreate and test the workflow shown below.
Create Workflow Folder
- Enter a folder name. Example: "Workflow Folder"
- Click on Add
Create Workflow
- Click on the menu marked with 3 dots on the workflow folder and select Create Workflow
- Enter a name for the workflow. Example: "2 Approvers"
- Click the Add button and then click Add if
- Click on Step and then the plus sign (+)
- Choose the first approver under the "Target" menu
- Click the plus sign again and then Add Condition
- Click Add Condition
- Search for "Reporting Amount" and select it from the menu
- In the Search Method menu, select Less than and in the Search Value field, enter 10000
- Click Save as New Version
The workflow will now assign the invoice to "Haima Ambily" upon arrival as long as the reporting amount is less than 10,000.
Test the Workflow
To test a workflow, simply find an invoice that has not yet been posted and then select Options -> Restart Flows inside the invoice details.
Then click on the "Workflow" tab and see that the workflow "2 Approvers" has now started. "Haima Ambily" is designated as the approver in the first step.
Congratulations! You have now created and tested your first Semine workflow.
